Special Stipends

Teacher Salary Supplement Program (TSSP):
Teachers in hard to fill positions (e.g. Math, Science, etc.) may qualify for an additional $4,100 annual stipend from USBE. Visit their website for more information.

National Board Certification:
Jordan District Educators with a current National Board Certification will receive an annual stipend of $2,400 based on their FTE percentage.

Signing Bonuses:
Jordan School District offers a one-time signing bonus for Science, Math, CTE, Resource, SLP, and Psychologist positions of either $1,000, $2,000 or $3,000. The bonus depends on the position and their FTE percentage.

Loan Forgiveness:
There are various loan forgiveness programs available to those who teach in low-income schools for at least five-years after graduation. Federal Student Aid   The Student Loan Report

Title 1 Stipend:
All licensed employees working full-time at a Title 1 school receive a $1,500 stipend.

Additional Days for School Counselors and Psychologists:

  • High School Counselors are compensated for additional days worked, up to 15.5 days.
  • Middle School Counselors are compensated for up to an additional 10 days.
  • School Psychologists are compensated for up to an additional 7 days.
